Clark was born in Saskatoon on October 15, 1966. He was the first of four sons born to Barry and Eileen Hertz. Clark was pre-deceased by both sets of grandparents, brother Roger, cousin Jared, Aunts Megan and Bev, and cousin Graham Shivak.

Clark is dearly missed by his loving wife Fay, his parents Eileen and Barry Hertz, brothers Garnet (Amelia), Glen (Erin), his son David Hertz, step children Shae and Drake Dixon, several nieces and nephews, his dad’s brother, Reg Hertz, and many more aunts and uncles.

Clark attended Greystone Heights Elementary School prior to Evan Hardy Collegiate Institute. During high school, he attended Youth Group at Circle Drive Alliance, where he made the decision to commit his life to Jesus Christ. He went on many enjoyable choir tours and ski trips. Clark completed one year at Briercrest Bible College.

Prior to attending SIAST to study Machining, Clark went tree planting for a couple of years. Clark enjoyed his career at Deca industries where he remained for 33 years. He started as a machinist and later became a reverse engineer and draftsman until his death. He was exceptional at whatever he did.

Faith was important to Clark. He attended Circle Drive Alliance and later Elim church. At Elim, Clark and Fay sang in the choir and were part of the Legacy Worship Team. They hosted a Bible Study in their home and served coffee prior to the services.

When Clark was young, he was a member of the Saskatoon Sports Car Club and had a vast knowledge of classic and exotic cars. He loved to help friends with tire and oil changes and tinker in the garage.

Clark was known for his quirky sense of humour and incredible bass voice. As well as singing in groups at Elim, Clark sang in Eclipse Chorus. He was Fay’s personal Shazam as he knew every song and artist in every genre. Clark loved Jive dance classes with Fay, Folkfest, festivals, concerts, and inviting friends and family over to listen to one of his amazing sound systems or watch movies. He was a true Audiophile, loved his CDs and anything with superior sound quality. He collected speakers and sound system components. Clark could fix almost anything. If he didn’t know how, he would learn, always researching and gaining more knowledge.

Clark loved getting to know other cultures, trying exotic foods, and was the most welcoming and inclusive human being. Clark had friends from around the world and will be missed by many.

Clark passed away suddenly August 3, 2026, due to a heart attack.

Fay, Eileen, Barry and family would like to thank all who have prayed, and those who have shown love and support during this time.

Clark’s funeral service will be held at the Elim Church chapel in Saskatoon, 419 Slimmon road, Tuesday August 11th, 2:00 pm.
