Yvonne June (Byblow) Cole

June 18, 1955 – June 19, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yvonne June Cole (Byblow) on June 19, 2025, just one day after celebrating her 70th birthday. Yvonne was born to Paul and Helen Byblow in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. She grew up running free on the family farm with her siblings just outside of Springside, creating cherished memories that shaped her warm and generous spirit.

After graduating from Yorkton Regional High School, Yvonne moved to Saskatoon, where she married and welcomed her two daughters. She found joy and purpose in her work, spending many years cooking at Porteous Lodge and later serving in various roles within the Saskatchewan Health Authority.Yvonne’s kitchen was always open, and her door even more so. She was the heart of every gathering—whether hosting exchange students for their first Thanksgiving dinner or gathering friends and family for her legendary Daytona 500 parties. Her cooking was only matched by her ability to make everyone feel welcome. In July 1996, Yvonne married the love of her life, Tom. Together they built a life full of laughter, love, and adventure, welcoming five grandchildren and one great-grandson. After retirement, Yvonne enjoyed tending to her beloved yard and flowers and looked forward to her annual trips to Puerto Vallarta, where she made lasting friendships year after year.Known affectionately as the “Mother Hen,” Yvonne touched countless lives with her care, compassion, and unshakable strength. She will be deeply missed.

Yvonne is lovingly remembered by her husband Tom; daughters Kerri and Kelly (Ryan); grandchildren Madison (Eric), Callen, Harlow, Aryanna, Rilynn; and great-grandson Hayden. She is also survived by her sisters Gloria and Carla (Steve) and brother Stephen (Jacqui); sister-in-law Laurie Fischer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Helen and brothers-in-law Jack Hufsmith and Ross Fischer.
