It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William John Menard at his residence in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 59 years old. William was born on May 5, 1966, in Winnipegosis, Manitoba. Throughout William’s life, he resided in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. He worked the majority of his lifetime in the automotive industry, which was a perfect fit as William possessed a vast knowledge of automobiles. William is survived by his mother, Joan Menard (Crivea); sisters, Candice Levin, Monica Menard, Jennifer Crivea (Doug), Suzanne Menard and brother, Robert Van Baren (Donna). He is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Alexis, Jesse (Delaney), Danielle (Jack), Dylan (Karyna), Tyler (Tina), Ryan, Kaitlan (Tyler), Cayden, Dallas, Daymion; and his great niece, Brooklynn and nephew Jameson. William is also lovingly remembered by his special family in Saskatoon, Karen, Rachel, Aaron, Amanda, Michelle, David, and Derek; along with his Aunt Jocelyn and Uncle Brian (whom he affectionately referred to as Dad), and William’s lifelong friend since childhood, Leon Park, whose friendship was greatly valued by William throughout the years.
William was predeceased by his brother, Christopher Chapdelaine; maternal grandmother, Johanna Crivea; maternal grandfather, Alfred Crivea; and his special grandmother, Joyce Chapdelaine.
