Wanda Elizabeth Brooks (nee Upton) passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2023 while in the compassionate care of the staff at Oliver Lodge in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She is survived by her immediate family, son Tim (Eileen), grandson Kurt, granddaughter Daysha, & her greatgrandson Kingsley; and her son Bob (Faith), granddaughter Danielle (Byron) & great-granddaughters Bryelle and Bella-Rose.

Wanda’s love of music and commitment to teaching will be fondly remembered by the hundreds of piano and accordian students she had over the years in Porcupine Plain. That love for music garnered her local fame when she played a piano duet with one of her students on the CKBI production “Spot Light on Talent”. Her son’s remember all too well: “one and-a two and-a three and-a four!”

Her surviving sister Idemay along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends will remember her for the countless hours she spent playing the piano or organ at weddings, musical festivals, for church choirs, funerals, with the Watsonaires in Prince Albert and just for fun.

To honour Wanda’s life, a small family service with friends will be held at the Mayfair United Church 902 33rd Street West in Saskatoon on Friday August 25th, 2023 @ 2:00 pm.
