Victoria Janzen

March 16, 1941 — September 27, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victoria Janzen a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who left this world on September 27th at the age of 84.

Victoria was born on March 16, 1941 in Saskatoon to Edward and Royce Walshaw. She attended St. Mary’s school and Sion.

She met the love of her life Irvin Janzen in 1957 and were married September 8th, 1959. They welcomed 5 beautiful children. Together they made many memories as a family, one of their favorites was going to Waskesui every summer. She was fortunate enough to be able to be a stay at home Mom until the kids were in school. She started working in 1974 at the Co-op stocking shelves where it never felt like work to her as they were always joking around and pulling pranks on each other (of course that all happened after their work was done). She retired in 1999. She then filled her days and nights being able to attend her grandkids basketball and soccer games and being on call for the day when one of them decided to be “sick” and needed a Grandma day, having tea parties and doing crafts.

Mom and Dad travelled to BC, Tucson, Coberg, and Hawaii. Although their favorite thing was to grab a Timmie’s and go for a drive down a country road which sometimes led to the Dunes.

Sadly Mom’s health took a turn in January 2013 when she had a stroke and had to go into a nursing home.

She is survived by her children Wes (Colleen); Sherry (Darrel); Allan (Laurel); Susan (Webster). She also leaves behind her grandchildren and great grandchildren Mandy (Neal) Carson, Nolan, and Kolby. Kristin (Brad) Tegan and Jager. Randi (Adam) Gaven, Levi, Braxdyn. James. Rebecca (Dustin) Nora. Matthew, Callie. Brent (Caity) Atticus. Spencer (Erin) Tyson and Milo. Michael. Nikkee (Tyler) Jenaya and Emree. Tori (Carey) Chloe and Bree. Ashley (Lindsay) Carter and Beau.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Irvin who never left her side until passing 6 weeks ago, Son Doug, Dad Edward, Mom Royce, and Brother Ted.

She will forever be remembered for her unconditional love, kindness and infectious smile. Her amazing lasagna, brownies and cinnamon buns.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that she is finally free and her sweetie was waiting for her with open arms.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sherbrooke staff, especially in the last month of Mom’s care.

We will miss you Grama Ladybug

A Private Family Funeral Service will be held.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with Mrs. Victoria Janzen's care and arrangements.
