It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa “Terry” Marie Rebalkin, who left us peacefully on September 4, 2025, at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, surrounded by her loving family.
Terry was born on July 30, 1966, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and lived 59 vibrant years filled with laughter, love, humour, and strength.Terry was a woman whose presence could light up any room. She was strong, kind, and caring, with a quick wit and a wonderfully dry sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew her. She loved crafting, cooking, cleaning, listening to music, camping, and cheering on the Saskatchewan Roughriders, especially when surrounded by her family. Her greatest joy in life was her family and her cherished fur children, Rio, Willow, and Skittles.
Terry recently had retired after almost 30 years in health care, and was excited to be able to spend more time with her family and friends. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Kevin Rebalkin, her son Micheal Genest, his husband / her son-in-law Eldon Genest, her sister Kathleen Burrell, nephew Brandon Murchison and his wife Ryley.
Theresa was predeceased by her beloved parents, Frank and Linda Girling, and her loving aunts, uncles, and cousins Kathy, Bonnie, Dale, Kerry, Jenny, Brayden, and Brandi.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared soon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Saskatoon SPCA or to any animal rescue organization, causes close to Terry’s heart. Condolences may be left through the funeral home’s website or by reaching out directly to her husband or sons.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all of the friends and family who came to see her on her one last time, and the doctors and nurses of the Dialysis Ward and ICU at St. Paul’s Hospital. Your care and compassion for Mom during her last days will never be forgotten and will always be deeply appreciated.
Mom loved, more than anything else in the world, her family, her friends, and her cats. Her passing has left a profound sadness in our hearts, and she is missed so dearly. The love, humor, and memories she gave us will live on forever.
