Theresa Lizzie Bihari

Theresa passed away peacefully June 11, 2025,, in Saskatoon, at the age of 95 years. She was truly an angel, always helping anyone and anywhere when needed.

She was predeceased by Joe, her beloved husband of 66 years, and often wistfully mentioned how she missed him. She was also predeceased by her siblings Alex, Paul, Joe, Martin, Louis, and Mary. Two siblings remain: Betty (Ernie Gulka) and Helen (Ed Pearson).

Theresa was the proud mom of four children George (Sally), Rose (Rick) Russell, Kim (Joanne), and Mark. She lost one daughter Patricia and often though of her.

She was also blessed with six grandchildren: Candice, Dionne (Muchi), Scott, Matthew (Nichelle), Erin, and Alexander; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Theresa was born in Middle Lake, SK. to Elizabeth and Joe Rendek. When she moved to Saskatoon, she lived with her aunt and uncle, till she was old enough to live on her own. She trained and worked as a nurse’s aide for three years, till her and Joe started their family.

Though she didn’t learn to drive that never stopped her...she walked or took the bus everywhere, visiting friends Anna, Esther and Genevieve, going bowling, shopping, to the hairdresser or just walking Maxie.

Besides being a member and volunteering with Elks Royal Purple, and St Phillips CWL, she babysat (when needed), enjoyed bowling and baking. Her strudel and tortes were outstanding and always appeared for birthdays. Her every day and special occasion meals were unmatched.

Her days and life were full, and she loved going dancing, always looking picture perfect. Through her long life she had too many friends to mention and enjoyed them all!

The family would like to extend their overwhelming thanks to the Warm ‘n Cozy staff on Atton Crescent, and St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit. They both helped make her final days comfortable.

Cremation has taken place, and her cremains will be placed with her husband at the Columbarium. A family Memorial will be held at a later date.
