Teresa Doerksen

February 19, 1980 — October 24, 2025

Teresa Lynnette Doerksen peacefully left us on the bright sunny morning of October 24, 2025, at the Warman Mennonite Special Care Home (WMSCH). Teresa is survived by her three beloved sons, Braidan, Ashton, and Hudson Doerksen, as well as her father Bill Unger(Maria Unger), sisters Melissa Davis, Nichole Watier, and Patricia (Daniel) Peters, stepsisters Judy (Bill) Neufeld, Ellie (Brian) Letts, and many loved nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was predeceased by her mother, Cynthia Unger, brother, Curtis Unger, and her grandparents, Palmer Bjorndal, Ernie and Wanda (Bjorndal) Voth, Jacob and Helen Unger, as well as a few aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Teresa was born on February 19th of 1980, in Rosthern, Sask. to Bill and Cynthia Unger. She was raised in a Christian family and was taught to pray and read her Bible. She attended Awana as a child, Osler Mission Chapel (OMC) youth groups, and graduated from Valley Christian Academy. Teresa was baptised upon confession of her faith, at OMC, at the age of 18. At the age of 20, she was married to Norman Doerksen, and they had three beautiful boys together. She found great joy in loving and raising her boys. In her late 20s, she began her battle against Huntington's Disease. As her symptoms progressed, she was moved into a private care home in Warman, and two years later was moved into the WMSCH, where she remained the rest of her days.

Teresa loved to laugh and regularly enjoyed teasing and pranking her friends and family. She was very talented with the piano and loved to play and hear others play. She went to hair school and took pride in always having beautiful hair and dressing in style. Teresa loved babies and delighted in making them smile and laugh. She also loved to spoil her boys as well as her nieces and nephews, and always had gum for them in her purse.

We would like to thank the WMSCH for their incredible love and care for Teresa while she lived there, as well as all the friends and family who came to visit her.

Teresa’s love and laughter will be greatly missed, until the day we meet again in glory with Jesus Christ our Saviour!
