It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rudy Goertzen, cherished husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather , who left us on August 18, 2025 at the age of 76 to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

A devout Christian, Rudy served the body of Christ in many capacities: board member, counsellor, etc., but his true joy was singing and he was always involved with music in some capacity whether singing with Shirley, solos, choirs, quartets, trios, or leading worship.
Rudy worked for the Dairy Pool, Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC), and as a private construction contractor before his successful career at Bus Sales of Saskatoon from 1985 - 2015 where he started as the parts manager and went on to be the general manager.
In 2015 Rudy retired, he and Shirley moved to Trail, BC to spend time near their children and grandchildren. In retirement he enjoyed serving the local church, Bible studies and coffee with friends, enjoying the outdoors hiking, playing pickleball and curling, as well as (you guessed it) singing!
