Ross Fischer

November 18, 1957 — June 13, 2025

Ross was born November 18, 1957, in Biggar Union Hospital, and passed away June 13, 2025, in Biggar Long Term Care Home at 67 years old.

He lived his life as a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, cattleman, farmer, hunter & trapper. He was very proud to be the 4th generation to farm the land his great grandfather homesteaded north of Perdue in 1903. He was even more proud to see his son and grandchildren carrying on being the 5th and 6th generation working the land.

Ross took great pleasure watching the calves be born in the spring, grow all summer and bring the heard home in the fall. He loved to see the last swath go into the baler and the last grain go through the combine. He was happy to know all the calves were born this year, that the crop was in the ground and coming up and the herd was in the pasture for the summer.

Ross was predeceased by his parents Harold and Doreen, his in laws Pat and Tom Cole. He is survived by his wife Laurie, son and daughter in law Daniel and Annaleigh, grandsons Kash and Easton and his granddaughter Blake, special nephew Guy (April) Lafferty and family, brother in law Tom (Yvonne) Cole and family, and a great group of friends, neighbors & hunting partners, some of whom landed in each group.

The Family wish to thank the Perdue First Responders tasked with transferring him from his home to the hospital, the staff at Biggar hospital and Biggar long term home for making his last months as comfortable as possible.

Ross has been cremated and there will be a gathering in the fall to celebrate his life and spread his ashes.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Ross Fischer.
