With saddened hearts, we announce that Richard Garnet Poitras passed away at the age of 66 years, on June 25, 2025, in Meadow Lake, SK.

Richard is survived by the Mother of his children Angela Poitras; Children Tyrone, Grant, Peter, Michael, Bill; Grandchildren Harlen, Kieran, Cali, Karli; Great-Granddaughter Honey; Nephew Kelly (Castel) Poitras.

He was predeceased by his Parents Vital & Margaret Poitras; Sister Bernice Poitras; Brothers Peter Poitras (Happy), Blaine Chatelaine; Grandson Joseph Xavier Poitras; Nephew Clayton Berard; and numerous Aunts & Uncles.

Wake Services will begin on Sunday, June 29, 2025, 2:00 pm, in the Flying Dust Gymnasium, at Flying Dust First Nation, SK. 

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, 11:00 am, in the Flying Dust Gymnasium, at Flying Dust First Nation, SK.
