Randy Stewart Andrew

December 23, 1950 — January 25, 2024

Randy passed away peacefully in his sleep without pain on January 25, 2024. He was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Earl and Norma Andrew. He was the youngest of 12 children. Randy was predeceased by both of his parents, his brothers Garry, Clifford, Byron, Stephen, Norman, and Doug as well as his sisters Mildred, Juanita and Delores and his twin who died at birth.

Left to mourn his death and celebrate his life are his sisters Joyce Paul and Lynda Andrew, his children Daryl (Marieka) and Ashley (Mike), three grandchildren Piper, Duncan and Mackenzie, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Randy was a generous and kind person and was always quick to lend a hand. He was a cab driver for many years which allowed him to know his way around Saskatoon. He always knew exactly how to get places and was very helpful with directions! One of his proudest memories from his time driving cab was when he helped deliver a baby in the back of his cab. There was an article in the Star Phoenix newspaper, and he even stayed in touch with the family years later. He also worked part time as a Commissionaire.

Randy had a great love of movies with a very extensive DVD collection. His favourites were old westerns and classic Disney films. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed both his music and movies. He also liked reading Archie comics. Randy always enjoyed BBQing no matter the weather or time of year. He was very social and enjoyed going downtown on his motorized scooter to tour around the mall and enjoy a cup of Tim Horton’s coffee.

A Celebration of Randy’s life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the JJ Loewen Community Centre (206 Railway Ave., Dalmeny, SK). As per Randy’s request, “no funeral type clothes”. He wanted everyone to be causal and comfortable.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Randy Andrew.
