In Loving Memory

Pritam Singh Kaler

March 4, 1934 – October 11, 2026

Sardar Pritam Singh Kaler passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on October 11th surrounded by his loved ones. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He leaves behind a large family that he was very proud of.

Pritam was born in Chuharchak (Moga), Punjab, on March 4, 1934, to Sardar Uttam Singh and Sardarni Dhan Kaur. He was the youngest of four brothers and was predeceased by his three elder brothers: Bawa Singh, Kartar Singh, and Captain Lal Singh. Pritam was a hard-working farmer back home in Punjab and in Canada. It brought him immense joy to be out in the fields and later in his large garden after retirement.

Pritam married Ranjit Kaur (nee Dhaliwal) and built a loving family with 5 children: Mohinder (Jasvir), Jaswinder Sidhu (late Shinderpal Sidhu), Jasvir Sidhu (late Jarnail Singh), Bhupinder Bhangu (Baljit Bhangu), and Jagtar (Jaswinder). Pritam had 12 loving grandchildren: Avtar (Karmjit), Abhjeet (Harman), Sandy (Jerome), Paul (Danielle), Rita (Kam), Jaspaul (Jaspreet), Dalveen, Inder (Megan), Irvan (Dilpreet), Dalvir (Mish), Gurvir (Raman), and Ranvir. Pritam also had 9 dearly loved great-grandchildren: Simran, Mira, Agam, Angad, Shaan, Jovan, Freya, C.J., Zayn, and Aveera. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Ranjit, with whom he shared more than 72 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family spanning generations and homes. He was beloved by all his extended family of many nieces, nephews, brother in laws and sister in laws.

Pritam emigrated to Canada with his family in July 1990. They built a home in Abbotsford, BC and then later moved to Warman, Saskatchewan in 2011. Our Bhapu ji had a heart of gold and lived a life of hard work and devotion to his family. He gave so much of himself without asking for anything in return; he embodied Shukar, Sabar and Santokh. Throughout his life he remained thankful and patient, never complaining.

Bhapu ji leaves behind a legacy of love and perseverance. We will deeply miss his presence, but the values he lived by and the love he gave us will remain with our family always.

May Waheguru grant him eternal peace.

Funeral Services will be held at Cherished Memories (591 Centennial Dr N) in Martensville on Saturday, October 17th at 10 am. Antim Ardaas will be held at the Lowe Road Gurdwara Sahib, Saskatoon following the funeral services. If further information is required, Mohinder (306-202-7218)
