Peter Froese

January 26, 1935 — July 12, 2025

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our dad, Peter T. Froese. He left, peacefully, into God’s glory early Saturday morning, July 12, 2025; the void he leaves behind is immeasurable.

Our dad will be deeply missed by his wife Margaret, his son William (Charlotte) Froese, daughter Marie (Dan) Klassen, and son-in-law Marlin Wall. His grandchildren Tracy Froese, Kaylee Froese, Alicia (Keenan) Regehr, Robyn (Jordan) Loewen, McKayla (Jeff) Nikel, and Alex (Hailey) Froese. Also, 7 great-grandchildren that will never truly know the love of their great-grandfather: Sophia, Hazel, Ezra, Savannah, Eden, Vanessa, and Isabella.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Froese (our mom), and his eldest daughter Helena Wall. Also, his parents John and Helena Froese, his siblings Jake Froese, Abe Froese, Helen Fehr, and siblings in-law Frank Guenther, Ester Froese, Edna Froese, Susan Froese, Betty Froese, Suzie Froese, and John Unruh.

Dad was born January 26, 1935, to John and Helena Froese on the farm near Gruenfeld, Saskatchewan. He was 3rd of 11 children. He went to Penner School for a few years, but always wished he could have attended longer.

Dad was baptized at the Bergthaler Church by Bishop Abraham Buhler upon the confession of his faith.

He married Margaret Neufeld on July 1, 1956, in Warman, where they raised their family. Family was always very important to our dad. He loved his children deeply- and somehow, his heart grew even larger for his grandchildren.

He was a strong Christian man of faith and taught his children the values of love, kindness, gratitude, gentleness, and honesty. Dad was a trustworthy and fair businessman. His integrity and work ethic was and still is displayed across this city and the Rosthern valley. Much of the work beneath our feet- basements, sewer lines, graveled streets, and driveways - stand as a testament to his hard work.

After mom passed away, dad remarried Margaret Neufeld on June 23, 2012. They shared 13 years in the final chapter of their lives together. They moved into North View Haven in 2017. They spent many hours playing games- both seemed to have a fun, competitive spirit.

Dad spent his 90th birthday in the hospital earlier this year, and returning home with an oxygen tank was not his idea of fun; however, he didn’t let that stop him. He spent many hours in the workshop at the Haven, building toys. He was working in that shop, doing what he loved, until an hour before he passed.

He will be deeply missed and leave a lasting emptiness in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
