Peter D. Peters of Osler, SK, began life with his new body while breathing heavenly air on the morning of October 30, 2025.
Peter was born on January 29, 1940, to Abram and Anna Peters of Rheinland SK.
Peter lost his mother at the age of one, and was raised by his grandparents. Peter went to the
LaBassee School in Rheinland. He was baptized in the Old Colony church upon confession of his faith.
Peter married Helena Braun on July 9, 1961, and they went on to have 4 children.
Peter worked as an elevator agent in Osler and in Hague, as well as working as a mechanic in Hague. He eventually started a small engine repair business out of his garage and worked there until he retired.
Peter enjoyed hunting and fishing and taught the Hunter’s Safety course at one point. He loved history and was a collector of antiques and served on the museum board in Hague.
Peter was a quiet man who loved his home and his family. He was proud to have a century farm and treasured the years he tended the yard and made firewood, and kept many age-old traditions alive. He was a master of all things smoked, and whether it was farmers sausage or a fish they caught in the river, anything smoked in his smokehouse was delicious.
Peter’s faith was seen in his dedication to his church and reading his bible. He had a deep belief in the life he was looking forward to once this one was over.
Peter will be deeply missed by his wife Helena, and their children.
