Murray Chetty

It is with great sadness that the family of Mariappa (Murray) Chetty announce his peaceful passing on Thursday September 9th, 2021 at Sherbrook Community Centre.
Murray was born August 2nd, 1941 in the small mining village of By pro duct, South Africa to Chinappa and Adeema Chetty. Murray immigrated to Canada with his family in 1977 where he mainly resided in Prince Albert and then Saskatoon. Murray was dedicated to his family and friends, was a devout Christian and former Sunday school teacher in South Africa and an incredible hard-working man who was loved by all who knew him.
His love of nature, photography, and electronics always came with stories everyone loved.
Murray is survived by his children Donavan (Katherine), Gerald, and Veneece. His grandchildren Taylor and Cole, his loving wife Therese, brother Sam (Angie), and sisters Maria and Kamala of South Africa. Also, numerous Nieces, Nephews, Step-children, and Step-grandchildren. Murray was predeceased by his parents Chinappa and Adeema Chetty, infant daughter Regina, brothers Pab, George, and John and sisters Chinma and Aneem.
A Memorial Service will be held on September 25th, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Circle Drive Alliance Church. Arrangements entrusted to Martens Warman Funeral Home (306) 934-4888.
