Obituary

Michael “Mick” Hobman passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Mick was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather who left a lasting impact on everyone whowas lucky enough to get to know him.

Mick will be missed and remembered by his wife; Carol, his daughters, Andrea (Cody) and Michelle (Brandon); his cherished grandchildren, Wyatt and Ryker. Also, his mother; Audrey, his brothers; Keith(Andrea), Kelly (Julie), and Darren, and his extended family and friends. Mick was predeceased by his dad, Jack, and nephew, Bob.

Mick and Carol were married for 46 wonderful years and raised two beautiful daughters together. They spent countless hours driving them around, coaching and watching their daughters in sports and dance. Mick was always passionate about sports himself - from curling with his family to playing slow pitch and later returningto a childhood love of hockey, where he especially enjoyed playing in the over-60 league.

When around the house, Mick was happiest with a project on the go and always seemed to find one. His biggest project was the family cabin at Iroquois Lake, which he built starting in 1993, and continued to add onto until last year. He took pride in every aspect of projects, and they will be cherished by the family and provide lasting memories for years to come.

Mick spent 36 years at Agrium Vanscoy potash mine (now Nutrien Vanscoy) as a Mechanical Technologist(draftsman), where his creativity and hard work earned him great respect. After retiring in 2018, Mick foundjoy in quiet days at the lake and in travelling, creating lasting memories with family and friends. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew him.

Our family extends heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff at the Saskatoon North Palliative Care team.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Legends Golf Club, 415Clubhouse Boulevard East, Warman, SK.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with Mr. Hobman's care and arrangements.
