IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marilyn Marie
Meschishnick (Logan)
October 3, 1961 – March 13, 2026
Celebration of Life
Marilyn Marie Meschishnick (Logan), age 64, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026.
Born on October 3, 1961, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Marilyn was the beloved daughter of the late George and Jean Meschishnick. She grew up surrounded by family and remained deeply connected to her roots throughout her life.
Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Deborah Oliver (Lyle), Sharon Blanch (Pat), Gary Meschishnick (Maxine), Laurie Meschishnick, and Russell Meschishnick (Janet) and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
In 1993, Marilyn moved to Richland, Washington, where she worked for Bechtel. During her time with the company, she contributed her talents across construction, project management, and procurement. Marilyn played a role in projects in Richland WA, Pueblo CO, and most recently at Los Alamos National Laboratory in, New Mexico.
Outside of work, Marilyn lived life fully and passionately on her acreage located on the Yakima River. It was her sanctuary—a place where she spent countless hours in both work and quiet rest. She loved gardening, carefully tending to her plants and preserving the harvest in jars of homemade pickles, relishes, and salsa. Her garden was especially known for its abundance of butternut squash, much of which she generously donated to the local food bank. Her bright yellow roses were a particular point of pride and a beautiful reflection of her vibrant spirit. She never missed a salmon season on the Yakima River, where fishing was both a tradition and a joy. Her smoked salmon was legendary among family and friends.
When fishing season ended, Marilyn could often be found competing in reining with her beautiful quarter horses—another passion that brought her great pride and happiness. And many, many pairs of beautiful cowboy boots. Marilyn raised 5 dogs who were her constant and loyal sidekicks: Whiskey, Colt, River, Barley and Hopps.
Marilyn will be remembered for her generosity, independence, love of the outdoors, and the warmth she brought to those around her.
A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held at Lakeview Church, 19 Glazier Road, Saskatoon, on March 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to The Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan or the Saskatoon SPCA.
Marilyn’s kindness, determination, and love for family, animals, and the outdoors will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Marilyn Meschishnick (Logan)
