Margaret Martens

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret, of South Haven Assisted Living in Warman, born October 10, 1938, to John and Maria Berg, Blumenthal, SK.

At eighteen years of age, Mom moved from the family farm to Saskatoon. She held various jobs; one of the first was working at the Broom Factory. She was at Canadian Linen from 1979-2003.

Mom enjoyed baking, quilting, gardening and knitting until her arthritis set in her hands. She spent many summers at Candle Lake, enjoying reading outside and listening to the birds.

In 1964, Mom married Jake Martens. They were married until Dad's passing in 2004.

Mom leaves to mourn 2 children: Dorothy (Wayne) Clement and Vernon (Shannon) Martens.

5 Granddaughters: Amanda (Darren) Danchak, Brittainy Clement, Kelsey (Shayne) Mamer, Keshia (Calvin) Nickel and Tessa (Michylo) Leask, along with 11 great grandchildren who she truly adored.

As well as her sister Ann Peters, in-laws: Tina Martens, Will (Sandra) Martens, Kate Spatt, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Margaret's Funeral Service will take place at 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in the Warman Mennonite Special Care Home, 201 Centennial Blvd.
