In Loving Memory
It is with heavy yet grateful hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Loeppky of Warman, Saskatchewan, at the age of 89 years. All her life, she was young-at-heart and had a real zest for life that touched many people.
Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John Loeppky, of 67 years, her children, Reg Loeppky (Donna Prystupa), Corbin Loeppky (Rhonda), Mona Rask (Darrin), and grandchildren Jesse Rask (Laura), Simon Rask, Levi Rask (Olivia), Claudia Rask (Garrett), Caden Loeppky, and Mieka Loeppky. Margaret has a surviving sister, Anne Dyck (Henry) of St. Catherines, Ontario, who will miss her dearly. All her other siblings have passed away, including Abraham Klassen (Margaret), Isaac Klassen (Georgina), Henry Klassen (Joyce), Peter Klassen (Tina), Jacob Klassen (Tina), Helena Wiebe (Henry), Elizabeth Schultz (Peter), David Klassen, and John Klassen (Helen). Margaret cherished all her grandchildren and their families. There were many nieces and nephews that she loved across Canada, and the U.S. Margaret had many church, school and work friends that were so kind and supportive, whom she loved dearly. She will be missed by many friends and loved ones.
Margaret was born between Warman and Osler and lived on a small farm where she grew up and went to Altona school up to Grade 9. A year after leaving school, Margaret began her working life at the Saskatoon Sanatorium as a Nursing Assistant from 1954-1961. In the fall of 1958, she met John, and they married on July 18, 1959. Children followed a few years later. As a local Warman resident, she contributed to many local committees, causes, and activities. Curling was a special passion, and she had many curling friends through the years. Margaret enjoyed games, puzzles, and was incredibly competitive in Scrabble. Music was an important part of her life, and she loved to play guitar with her husband, John. Margaret cherished travel across Canada and the world and enjoyed many camping holidays with friends and family. Faith was especially important to her, Margaret and John were baptized in 1980, and in her final days, she was joyfully looking forward to heaven.
The family would like to thank the staff of the St. Paul’s hospital in Saskatoon for their excellent care and compassion. Margaret had special relationships with her ICU nurses, doctors, and the surgeon who cared for her.
We invite friends and loved ones to gather for a memorial service for Margaret, where stories will be shared and memories celebrated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association and the Canadian Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Osler Mission Chapel, 110 6th Ave in Osler, SK. There will be a light lunch after the funeral service, and the burial will follow at the newer Warman Memorial Gardens, Range Rd 3051 in south Warman.
