It is with immense sadness but a sigh of relief after 26 years of suffering with Parkinson’s disease that we announce Lyle’s passing on February 4, 2026, at RUH in Saskatoon.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Angie (Sigouin), his two loving children, Dawn (Wayne Giesbrecht) and Rick, two grandchildren that he was so proud of, Cuba and Desira Giesbrecht, his sisters Pay (Art Weiss), and Deborah (Greg) and two brothers, Reg and Doug (Evelyn), also numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Bill and Hilda Tarala, numerous aunts and uncles, his parents’ in-law Euclid and Blanche Sigouins, and one brother-in-law, David.
Lyle spent his life working as a train dispatcher and crew dispatcher for the C.N. railroad. He lived in many different towns in Saskatchewan until he and Angie were transferred to Edmonton in 1993. Lyle worked until 2000 and then had to retire because of his Parkinsons diagnosis. They moved back to Saskatoon in 2022 to allow them to be close to family.
A Celebration of Life will take place in May to allow his granddaughter to finish school in Ireland.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or to a charity of your own choosing.
Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with Mr. Tarala's care and arrangements.
