Larry was born in Saskatoon on March 11, 1954 to Lawrence and Gwen Keene. He lived for a time in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, but completed most of his schooling in Saskatoon, where he attended Mount Royal Collegiate.

Larry worked as a truck driver and took great pride in making deliveries throughout Saskatchewan. He was a very handy man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbours and friends whenever needed.

He had a deep love of trains and his favourite way to spend a holiday was to go camping and fishing in the lakes of northern Saskatchewan. One of his favourite places was Anglin Lake, where he spent many cherished moments. He was also very proud that his father had been involved in the creation of the Scout camp at Anglin Lake.

Larry passed away on April 3, 2026 and he was predeceased by his mother, Gwen Keene; his father, Lawrence Keene; his brother-in-law, Don Neumann; and his grandchildren, Adam Talbot and Parker Talbot.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Keene; his children, Dallas Keene and Christine (Marcus, Julian, and Patrick) of Ajax, Ontario, and Travis Keene and Shannon (Cody and Chantal) of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; his stepchildren, Andrew Talbot and Michelle (Ryann, Aidan, and Elijah) of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and Melissa Talbot and Willie Frittaion (Macaila, Stephanie, and Jacqueline) of Sheho, Saskatchewan; eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Marg Neumann; and his nieces, Carla and Eric (Autumn and Willow), and Cheyanne and Cory (Jason).

No Funeral Services will be held at this time, A Remembrance Come and Go Tea will be held at a later date.
