Our mom, Judy Buckley, a beautiful soul who touched so many hearts has passed away with her daughter alongside her. Her joys in life included her 5 grandchildren, painting and inspiring others to find their creative sides, finding deals while shopping and watching movies.
Judy was born in Canwood, Saskatchewan, and lived her early years in Prince Albert, she later moved to Saskatoon, made a home in Martensville and Warman, and back to Saskatoon. She worked as a Human Resources Career Counsellor and Manager for 35 years with Province of Saskatchewan and Government of Canada and during that time was heavily involved in Saskatchewan Government Employees Union Local 1102. This brought a passion of justice, equity, human rights and anti-discrimination efforts that influenced systemic change which she passed down to her daughter.
She lives on in the memories and as a guardian angel to her children: Daniel and Alicia (Brad), her grandchildren – Ellie, Barrett, Ivan, Roslyn and Alena, her mother, Doris, and her brother Rodney (Connie) and their son Lance, extended family and friends who became family. She was predeceased by her father Arno.
Our family would like to give thanks to those at Sherbrooke Community Centre, both in the Community Day Program and on the 3rd Floor for their care and friendship with our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sherbrooke Community Foundation.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Cherished Memories Funeral Home in Martensville. 591 Centennial Drive North, Martensville. The service will also be live streamed for those who may be unable to make it. Please join us with the link below.
