Joseph Clarence Merasty

With saddened hearts, we announce that Joseph Clarence Merasty passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 81 years. Clarence was born in Meadow Lake, SK. 

 Clarence is survived by his children Darlene Thomas, Rose Abel (Mike) Clifford, Rocky, Sherman (Marie) Allister, Myrna Fiddler, Marsha Joyea (Maurice), and adoptive son Chris Merasty; sister Eva C. Gladue; numerous grandchildren and chapans.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Edna J. Merasty; parents Jim Tanner, Alphonse and Beatrice Merasty; brothers Peter, Gilbert, George, Herman, and Martin; sister Theresa Merasty; children A. Joyce Merasty, Dennis Mills, Brian Martell; and daughter-in-law Shauna Merasty.

Wake will begin on Monday, March 4, 2024, 2:00 p.m., at Flying Dust First Nation Gymnasium. 

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, 1:00 p.m., at Flying Dust First Nation Gymnasium. Interment to follow at the Flying Dust Cemetery.
