With heartfelt sadness, we announce that Johnny M Pakitin, passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 70 years, in Ile-a-la-Crosse, SK.

Johnny is survived by his nephew Pat D’Jonaire, Leslie (Chrissy) Oneeye; niece Veronica (Rod) Apesis; nephew and nieces Percy Paul, Pauline (Joey) Paul, Jessica (Brandan) Paul, Jonathan (Tash) Apesis, Jay (J.B.) Apesis, Lilly (Hilton) Aubichon, Leanne (Lewis) Black, Celestine (Randy) D’Jonaire, Noel D’Jonaire, Sam D’Jonaire; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews; cousins Monique, Margaret, Terri, Gina, Eva, Lawrence Mc, Leonard, David, Frankie, Larry, Thomas, Bruce, Brian, Sandra, Rose Wol.; and aunty Eleanore Maurice.

He was predeceased by his parents J.B. and Agnes Pakitin; grandparents Judith and Maxime Maurice; uncles Marcel and Alec Maurice; auntie Beatrice McIntyre; brother-in-law John Paul and Jacob Est.; sisters Marie Est. and Mary Jane Pakitin; brother Martin Pakitin; nephews Ryan Apesis, Preston D’Jonaire; nieces Ida Paul, Shirley Maurice; cousins Veronique Mc, and Gloria Apesis.

Wake will be held at the English River Band Hall.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, 2:00 p.m., at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Patuanak, SK. Interment to follow.
