James (Jim) Andrew Anaka

October 25, 1956 — April 26, 2025

A life well lived. Jim was a hardworking man that took immense pride in his work and was the best handyman around. He worked in many different roles: railway, construction, had numerous oilfield responsibilities and maintenance man at the Turtleford Riverside Health Complex. His grandkids were his pride and joy, and he loved spending time with them and his “grand dogs”.

Puba Jim, as known to most, thoroughly enjoyed time at the lake. Boating, fishing and teaching his grandkids skills of many trades along with working with all types of wood. He loved to drive and travel with many stops to sightsee and stop for a coffee. An avid Riders, Blue Jays and Oilers fan, it was always a good laugh and a fun time to watch a sporting event with Jim and the passion he brought to his teams.

Jim leaves to celebrate his memory, daughter Jaime (Ian) Hundeby and their children Anders, Thora and Steinar. Siblings Elaine (Ross) Wishart, Ed, Ken (Tasha), Bernadette, Garry (Bonnie), Larry, Daniel (Alain) and Christine (Darcy). Entire Kramer family. Numerous nieces and nephews. Stepdaughter Billie Jo (Everett) Nielsen, her five children and her grandchildren. Jim was predeceased by his parents John and Ethel, nephew Ashley, stepfather Steve Gulka and stepson Tyson Jones.

A very grateful thankyou to the staff at Turtleford Riverside Health Complex, STARS and RUH staff for the exceptional care.

Donations can be made to Turtleford Riverside Health Complex, STARS or a charity of choice.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with Mr. James Anaka's care and arrangements.
