George Reimer

With great sadness we announce the death of Abram “George” Reimer who went home at 9:44 p.m. on November 9 at the age of 77.

He was born December 20, 1947 to Peter and Helen (Bergen) Reimer at City Hospital the fourth of five children. He has lived in Warman since 1952. George’s first job was at Violet Spray Car Wash. He had a few jobs in between, and then went to work at Saskatoon Glass where he worked for many years. In 1971, he started working in the drywall business until his retirement in 2021. George had lots of health issues: heart attacks, stroke, stomach surgery and then suffered with cancer for years which took his life.

He enjoyed watching his girls figure skate and play sports, and his son playing hockey and still enjoyed watching young kids playing hockey and sports. He enjoyed watching his son play slo-pitch, and always looked forward to those games. George liked his Toronto Maple Leafs and Saskatchewan Roughriders. He volunteered for many years for the Warman Wildcats and over 20 years for the Saskatoon Blades where he met many friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, his parents, his in-laws, brothers Pete and Dave; sisters Margaret and Agnes; and his nephew Edward Reimer.

George is lovingly survived by his wife Nettie; daughter Shauna (Sean) and their children Daniel (Allie), Rheanna (Kevin), Brandon (Tina); daughter Shannon (Jake), and their children Emma, Ethan; and son Steven (Jacqui); 5 great-grandchildren Jayden, Noah, Thomas, Nicholas and Charlotte; and many friends and relatives.

A Public Come & Go Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. at Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman. (Please use the southeast entrance and watch for directional signs.)

A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at InterCities New Life Alliance Fellowship, 418 Central Street West, Warman. Interment will precede the service at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens, Warman.
