George Malcolm Harder

November 28, 1960 — November 27, 2023

With heartfelt sadness, we announce that George Malcolm Harder passed away on November 27th, 2023, at the age of 62 years.

George was born November 28th, 1960, to Henry and Sarah Harder. George was a goofy guy with a big sense of humor when he made jokes, it was usually at your expense, but there were times he was bent over crying and silent laughing he thought it was so funny, and it’s true, usually it was.

He would tell stories about his younger days, and you could see the light shine so bright in his eyes when he would reminisce about his shenanigans. That is when you knew to buckle up, because there were going to be about four stories in with the first one, and by the time he got to the end of the story, he couldn’t remember what he was telling you.

George was also a jack of all trades. He loved driving truck, more specifically his Peterbuilt, he could talk for hours about those semis, and he had enough pictures to show exactly what he was talking about. Making things with his hand always brought him a smile. He made screen doors, bird houses, home décor signs, and his absolute favorite thing to make, was squirrel feeders.

Hid grandkids adored him. His grandson had lunch with him every day during the school week and would poke fun at each other all the time. He liked knowing how his granddaughters were doing in school and how their sports practices went.

Even on a hard day, he had a joke to lighten the room. You are going to be forever missed by so many George. We will keep your memory alive anyway we can. We know you were called home for a reason.

So go rest high on that mountain George, we love you, but it is not goodbye, it is until we see you again.

George is survived by his common law spouse Twila Meyer & children Justin (Nicole) & Family; Cristopher (Jessica), Corben, McKayla, Angela, Aliyah, Tamara Harder, Kyra, Valen, and David Harder; Twila’s son Tyler; his mother Sarah (Neufeld); siblings John (Maria) Harder, Barb (Ed) Bueckert; Anna (John) Ens, Trudy Wheeler Chris (Ruben) Peters, and Martin (Lisa) Harder; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Henry H. Harder in 1996; brother Bill in 2009; grandparents Klaus and Anna Harder, and John and Anna Adrian.
