It is with great sadness that the loved ones of Francois Maurice announce his passing on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 91.

Frank is lovingly survived by Son: Peter Apesis (Marlene), Grandson: Stephan Apesis (Kelly), Great Grandchildren: Lacie Campbell, Kyra Apesis, Kaizlynn Apesis and all of his stepchildren. His Sister: Marceline Dawatsare, Brothers: Jerry Bernard, Ernest Estralshenen

He is predeceased by his Wife: Josephine Maurice (Apesis), Parents: Ernest & Eleanor Maurice, Grandparents: Valarie Dawatsare, Sister: Helen Wolverine. Brother: John Estralshenen, Aunty: Martha Dawatsare/Jacob Estralshenen, Uncle: Joseph Dawatsare/Louise Dawatsare. 

Frank's Wake Service will begin on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in the William Apesis Hall, English River First Nation. His Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. on the St. Louis Church, English River First Nation, SK. Officiated by Bishop Sylvan Lavoie. Interment following the Funeral Service at the English River First Nation Cemetery.
