Emil Schneider of Saskatoon, SK passed away peacefully in the arms of his wife and with family at his side on December 19, 2023 at the age of 92. He was born on May 12, 1931 to Rudolph and Mathilda Schneider in Allan, SK. He was predeceased by his daughter, Yvonne McCowan, his son, Sidney Schneider, and his sister, Theresa Martin.
Emil attended the Saskatoon School for the Deaf, graduating in 1949. At the age of 17 he learned of God’s name as found in Psalms 83:18 and this began his lifelong devotion to Bible truth. Throughout his life he cherished his faith and family above all else. In 1955 he met Evelyn Leech at a bus stop, and she became the love of his life. They married on August 4, 1956, and together they made a loving, comfortable home for their seven children.
Emil worked for 41 years at Intercontinental Packers until his retirement in 1993. He was well-liked by his coworkers for his work ethic and excellent sense of humour. Emil was well known in the community as a generous, humble, and dedicated man. He never hesitated to give of his time and resources to help others.
