It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra “Debby” Ann Bingham (Virtue) on September 19, 2026.

Debby was the loving wife and soulmate of David Clayton Bingham, the love of her life and best friend. She was a proud mother of Sabrina, Frank (Shannon), and Donna (Kyle), and a proud grandmother to Jayla, Chris, Kassy, Journey, Orin, Everett, and Genevieve.

Debby was the beloved youngest daughter of the late Frank and Winnifred Virtue. She grew up surrounded by family and carried that love with her throughout her entire life. She shared a particularly close bond with her sister Sheila in their adult years. Debby also had 4 brothers, 3 passed before her, and 1 foster sister who passed young.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and the many friends she had.

Debby had a heart that seemed to have room for everyone. She loved deeply, gave generously, and was always willing to help anyone who needed her. Her friends were never simply friends - they became family. For many years, Debby ran a daycare where she cared for children as though they were her own. The children lovingly called her “Aunty Debby”, and it wasn’t unusual for their parents to stay after hours simply to spend more time visiting and enjoying her company. She created a place where people felt welcome, loved, and at home.

Debby loved music, elephants, the colour blue, shopping, and always looked forward to her monthly Splurge night with her friends, a tradition she enjoyed for more than 20 years. She also loved dogs, her dog Bella held a special place in her heart, as did all the dogs she had throughout her life. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas morning, when she could see the excitement on the children’s faces. Debby had a wonderful sense of humour and loved being silly, making people laugh, and creating memories wherever she went. Above all, Debby was incredibly proud of her family. She loved them with all her heart and wanted nothing more than to see them happy.

Unfortunately, much of Debby's life was affected by pain and illness that took away the ability to enjoy many of things she loved. Knowing her suffering has ended brings us comfort.

Debby will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of being loved by her. Her love, laughter, kindness, and silly personality will live on in everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

In memory of Debby have a cup of tea, or smoke a cigarette, share a laugh and think of her. 

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 - 4pm on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 409 Hilliard Street West, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
