Obituary

David Alan Kasdorf, born on November 28, 1960.

His parents, Leo and Sally Kasdorf, raised him and his brother Robert in their City Park home in Saskatoon. David attended Wilson School and later City Park Collegiate. After high school, he spent a summer with MCC, working with a Mennonite disaster team in Kentucky, rebuilding a city that had been devastated by flooding.

As boys, David and Robert enjoyed several trips to Mexico, travelling in the family station wagon. Closer to home, they spent summer vacations at their log cabin at Nemeiben Lake, enjoying the fishing at dad's fish fry shore lunch.

David had many jobs and, over the years, always building and inventing, from custom tools for the garage to a home-built car and numerous industrial projects that spanned many industries.

In 1987, David married Judy Epp, and together they raised 2 daughters, Heather and Dana. They enjoyed travelling as a family; several times they joined Leo and Sally in California, visiting Disneyland and other interesting places.

In Dave's retirement, he lived a quiet life south of Saskatoon on an acreage, driving his van to do furnace and duct cleaning in rural communities. He had many repeat customers over the years, and he enjoyed having a coffee and a visit at the end of the job. He enjoyed gardening, built a greenhouse and always kept busy with some kind of project in the garage. And he loved his Lego!

He suffered from health issues in his last few years, and in his visits with his mother would refer back to a time when he was baptized on his confession of faith at First Mennonite Church. He had not forgotten his Lord, and we trust that He took David to his eternal home.

David's Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bethany Manor, 110 LaRonge Rd, Saskatoon, SK.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Mr. Kasdorf.
