It is with great sadness that after a courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease, we announce the passing of our mother, wife, and friend Carrie Dee Forster. Carrie was born in Hanna, Alberta and spent her childhood in Brandon, Melita and Pierson, MB. After graduation, she completed her Education Degree at Brandon University and taught for many years in Teulon and Carman, MB before moving to Saskatoon where she continued to be a substitute teacher prior to the birth of her proudest achievement in life - her daughter Olivia.
Carrie loved being a mother and enjoyed every moment sharing her passions with Olivia – manners, reading, crafts, beadwork, baking, and spending time at the park. Carrie taught us to always “Be Kind” and to cherish the time spent with family. Carrie lived with patience, grace, dignity and determination, living each day as full as she could with a kind heart and positive attitude.
In 2019, Carrie moved to Warman Retirement Care Home and was beloved and cherished by all the staff and residents. In 2022, Carrie moved to Spruce Manor Special Care Home in Dalmeny, SK and enjoyed bingo, activities, baking, worship services and many hours in the courtyard. We would like to thank all the staff and residents of Warman Retirement Care and Spruce Manor for the exceptional care and compassion that Carrie received.
Carrie is survived by her daughter Olivia, husband David, brother Myles Kirby (Samuel, Daiten), in laws Greg and Estelle Forster, Zenon and Lorraine Forster (Aurelie, Hannah, Tristen, Dawson), and Glen and Karina Forster (Beth), as well as many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved and cherished Carrie. She is pre-deceased by her mother Betty Anne, Uncle Boyd, cousin Marcie as well as Grandfather Bill and Gramma Berne.
Carrie's Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, April 10, 2026, in Cherished Memories Funeral Home, 591 Centennial Drive North, Martensville, SK.
