Carol Faith Hood

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Faith Hood who passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born in Nokomis SK on October 20, 1952. She was the third of seven children to Joseph and Janet Hood.

She grew up on the family farm near Raymore SK where she helped look after her younger brothers and sisters. She had a passion for cooking which led her to a career in food services. She was always on the lookout for new recipes to try. Her joys in life included her sons, her grandchildren who she adored, making pottery, writing short stories and spending time with friends and family.

Carol is survived by her two children Dean of Fort McMurray AB, and Derek (Michelle) of Warman SK, her grandchildren Maddex and Archer; her six brothers and sisters, Leslie (Linda), Diann Slager, Darlene (John) Schindelka, Warren (Bev), Linden (Bonnie), Todd (Cindy) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Janet and her brother-in-law, Rod Slager.

Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Bob and Eunice Huber for the care and support that you have given our mom. We would also like to thank the staff at St. Paul’s Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit for the care that mom received.

At Carol’s request, there will be no service. A private family interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the cancer society.
