Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mom, Meme and sister, Bonnie Sherstobitoff, in the early morning hours on Sunday, April 12th, 2026.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Melissa Bouchard; Melissa’s husband Carter; and her cherished grandchildren, Lilly, Jerzey, Aurora, and Harley. She was a constant presence in their everyday lives, and they were truly her whole world.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister and best friend, Sue Kapustianyk; her brother-in-law Mike Kapustianyk; and their children, Courtney and Michael (Lauren and their daughter, Ayla). She will be deeply missed by her soul dog and very best friend, Evo.

Bonnie is also survived by her siblings Peggy, Barry, and Michael.

She was predeceased by her parents, Polly and Mike Sherstobitoff; her brother Doug; and her sister Deb.

Bonnie was the most kind hearted, selfless, hard working woman anyone could ever know. She gave to everyone her entire life and always put herself last. She was an incredible cook, known by many for her ginormous cinnamon buns, delicious calzones, and her famous “cabbage salad”, as her brother-in-law Mike called it. One of her greatest joys once she retired was watching cooking shows and trying new recipes to share with those she loved. A good Tim Hortons coffee, a Bargain Shop and Dollartree trip with her grandkids were her most treasured memories.

Some of Bonnie’s happiest times were had during her time working at the north side Costco, where she truly felt cared for and found a deep love for her work and the people around her.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by all who had even a small part in her life. There will never be anyone like her, and her memory will live on in the kindness and laughter she brought to so many.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be a private family viewing, with cremation to follow.

Melissa and her family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the paramedics, the Outlook area RCMP officers, and the staff at Martens Warman/Cherished Memories Funeral Homes for the care and compassion shown not only to Bonnie, but to the entire family. We could not have gotten through this without you.

A special thank you as well to everyone who has reached out with stories, condolences, meals, and support, reminding us just how deeply loved and cherished she was.

We love you Meme, and will miss you to the moon and back again.
