Bonnie Letrud

With heartfelt sadness, we announce that Bonnie Letrud passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 69 years. Even with all of her struggle, losing the love of her life Dale in 2023, and a stage 4 diagnosis of lung cancer in the fall, she still passed peacefully in the hospital, with her daughter Chantel by her side. Her favorite song Angel by Sarah McLachlan playing. She lived by her own rules and was pretty spicy; but she loved fiercely.

Bonnie and her husband Dale spent 50 plus years together, building a life they loved. Their love of music was something they had in common; and got to enjoy going to many shows together. What they shared most was the love for their grandchildren, Delaynie, Brayden, Hannah and Maggie. They took many trips down to the East Coast to visit their daughter Chantel and her family, it was truly their favorite place to be.

Mom’s house was somewhat of a rescue to so many animals over the years. She was known as the crazy cat lady and adored all of her fur babies. Sometimes she would spend more on the cat treats and different foods than she did on meals for herself.

Bonnie leaves behind, her family; daughter Chantel, Darren, Hannah and Maggie; son-in-law Doug and granddaughter Delaynie; nieces and nephew Terry, Kathy and Jamie; dear friends Art, Jeanette, Peggy and Nancy; and so many more that shared in her journey.

Mom was heartbroken with the loss of her loved ones who predeceded her; husband Dale; daughters Trusha and Jenny; grandson Brayden; parents Gilles and Johanna; and all of her siblings.

A Celebration of Life for Bonnie and Dale will be held and the Fox and Hound on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, 6:00 p.m., 7 Assiniboine Drive, Saskatoon, SK.
