Bonnie Marie Bertsch

November 8, 1955 — September 20, 2023

Bonnie was born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan and raised on a farm in Brock, Saskatchewan. Bonnie was the third oldest child of 4, to parents Vivian and Frank Preston.

Bonnie moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1975 where she went to school and began a long career in health care with the Saskatoon Health Region. She married in 1974 and had four children. She spent the remainder of her life in Saskatoon. Bonnie loved life. She was an amazing mother, partner, and friend. She took each day in stride, rarely showing the stresses of daily life. She enjoyed the little things. She liked to camp, garden, quilt, cross-stitch, and read amongst other things. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to do almost anything if it was with family...playing games or cards, walking and hiking, or watching movies. She was also an amazing aunty to many nieces and nephews, as well as a sister. She loved animals and shared her life with many dogs. She always made holidays special, especially Christmas. In retirement, she liked to sit out in her solarium and began bird watching. She was a rock to everyone in her life, as she always put others before herself.

She was survived by her husband of 53 years Wayne Bertsch, her brother Ron Preston, children – Michelle, Carla, Paul, and Cheryl Bertsch, as well as her grandchildren Kameron Gariepy and Benjamyn iessen. She was predeceased by her mother and father Vivian (Cooke) and (William) Frank Preston, her brother Bill Preston, and her sister Janet Preston, as well as mother and father-in-law Margret (Bohn) and Mike Bertsch. She will be missed profoundly by many and forgotten by none.
