IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bill
Chilliak
October 25, 1947 – November 29, 2025
Bill, 78, passed away peacefully in Saskatoon after a long illness. Raised in Prud'homme, he married Elaine Blaseg on November 4, 1967, and together they had four children. Bill began his career in the food industry and advanced to restaurant manager roles. He co-founded Mr. Splendor Catering, known especially for his signature hips of beef. Later, he joined Empire Meats in sales while continuing part-time catering. After Elaine's passing in 1989, Bill started with Saputo Foods in 1990, playing an important role in its western Canadian growth until retiring in 2015.
Bill met his companion Terri Bell during his time with Saputo. Bill's family meant the world to him and he enjoyed every minute he was able to spend with them. His warmth and generosity touched everyone around him, leaving us with cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Bill's unwavering dedication to his family and friends, his sense of humour, and the kindness he shared made gatherings brighter and moments together truly special. As we reflect on his legacy, we celebrate not only his many accomplishments but also the love and laughter he brought into our lives.
Bill is survived by his companion Terri Bell. His children Tammy (Quinten) Krieg, Jody (Brad) Basset, Jay, and Todd (Karen). Terri's children Pat (Shelby), and Randi (Ryan) Eyre. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Shelby (Trevor), Austin, William (Taylor), Carter, Trae, Taitus, Liam, Zake, Thorin, Lily, and Tia. Great granddaughters Briar and Summer.
