It is with deepest love and sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Colleen Toews on July 29th, 2025, at the age of 66, held in the loving hands of her four children.
Bev was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend, and member of her church and will be greatly missed by many.
Bev was a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and wholehearted devotion. She was a lifelong learner who worked hard and never stopped growing. While raising four young children, she enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan and earned her Bachelor of Education degree, graduating with distinction. She was so proud of her first teaching position at Valley Christian Academy in Osler. It was a remarkable and deeply meaningful achievement that reflected her determination and her love of learning, and her passion for Christ.
What defined Bev most was her unshakeable faith in Jesus and her unwavering love for her family. These two foundations shaped every part of her life. Her home was filled with journals and notes, many of them prayers and reflections, and nearly every page included the names of her children and grandchildren. She thought about them constantly and carried each of them in her heart and in her conversations with God.
She gave so much of herself to ensure her children had a life in which they could thrive. Her home was filled with music, creativity, warmth, and purpose. She believed that raising her children well was one of her greatest callings, and her relationship with God shaped how she built her home. She shared her passions freely and helped her children grow their own.
Some of her proudest moments as a mother were watching all four of her kids play the organ, competing and winning many awards. Music filled their home and became a lasting legacy in their lives. She fostered not just talent, but joy in expression and performing.
Bev also loved camping, sewing, and family traditions. Christmas was her favourite. She went to great lengths to make holidays special, often arriving with treats, crafts, or thoughtful gifts centred around togetherness. Her grandchildren will carry the memory of those moments with them for life. She left a mark on each of them.
Though her passing was difficult, it became a moment her children will always cherish, as all four were gathered at her side, grateful to be with her one final time.
She was predeceased by her father, Arthur Toews.
She is survived by her mother, Lynda Toews, and her siblings: Gwen (Scott) Loewen, Cheryl (Joe) St. Pierre, Marcel (Corinne) Toews, Tracey (Ken) Kostyniuk. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She leaves behind her four children and twelve grandchildren, who will miss her more than words can say: Candace (Lyndon) Epp – Kianna, Spencer, Tammy (Drew) Thiessen – Roderick, Prestley, Holton, Matthew (Crystal) Ramage – Roxanne, Jethro, Lucy, Jay (Kylie) Ramage – Jaxon, Emelyn, Harlow, Maverick
Bev lived her life with intention, faith, and love. So many of her efforts were aimed at building a life worth living for herself and for her family. She gave her best, and she will be missed beyond measure.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
