Anne Laura Wall

March 17, 1933 — September 2, 2025

Anna (Anne) Laura Penner was born in Warman, Sask. On March 17, 1933, to Peter and Maria Penner. She went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on September 2, 2025.

Anne grew up on a farm and attended public school in the country. She was the youngest of four children. She received Christ as her personal Saviour at the age of 17 at a tent revival meeting. Anne was subsequently baptized upon confession of her faith in Jesus Christ, in 1953, at Mayfair Mennonite church in Saskatoon.

On April 24, 1954, she married Henry Wall, and from this union were born three children, Leslie, Darrell & Lynette.

Anne worked at the Modern Laundry until her marriage to Henry, after which she stayed home to raise their children. After their children were grown, she worked 15 years for Prairie Advertising until her retirement in 1990.

Henry and Anne took many vacations in their lifetime. They visited eight countries in Europe, two trips to Hawaii, and went on many bus tours.

Anne was predeceased by her loving husband Henry in 2007, her parents, Peter and Maria Penner, two brothers, Edwin (Nettie) Penner and Arthur (Agnes) Penner, one sister, Linda (Ben) Martens and her stepmother Helen Penner.

Anne is survived by her three children; son Leslie (Patricia) Wall, their children – Kelsey (Erik) Braun and Kristin; son Darrell (Helen) Wall; daughter Lynette Bowen and son Brian; stepchildren – Arthur (Becky) Bowen, Bob (Tanya) Bowen, Melissa Bowen, Felicia (Nathan) Fleck; and great granddaughters Noa Braun and Amber Bowen; step great grandchildren, Austin, Bria and Brennan Bowen, and Cydney and Hadlee Fleck. Also, her half-sister Lorene Penner, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Anne loved to sing in the church choir that her husband Henry directed. She was also a guide in the Pioneer Girls Club and taught a beginner Sunday School class at Westgate Alliance Church. Anne loved the Lord with all her heart and was really looking forward to heaven. She is at peace.
