Ann Maschak (Dziendzielowski) peacefully left us on the morning of July 7th, 2025, at the Porteous Lodge in Saskatoon.
Ann was born on May 30, 1931, in Cudworth, Saskatchewan.
She is survived by her children, Theodore (Ted) Maschak, Myron Maschak, Roxana Maschak, all in Delisle, SK; Grandchildren, Keith (spouse Randi) Maschak in Prince Albert, SK and Kira Maschak in Edmonton; Her brother Maurice Peters in Vancouver, B.C., numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Wasyl (Bill) Maschak, her parents Caroline and Michael Dziendzielowski; Siblings Peter Dziendzielowski, Rose Lufkin (Dzienzielowski), and Ludwig (Lud) Dziendzielowski; Nephews Terry Dziendzielowski and Gordon Dziendzielowski.
Ann was a dedicated wife and mother who excelled in nurturing her family and grandchildren. Many hours were spent growing large gardens, cooking and preserving. She will be remembered for her cooking, particularly her perogies, holubtsi and borscht. As her children grew, she worked out of the home, first at SED Systems and later at the RUH, Dietary Services. Ann and Bill eventually built a cabin in Wakaw Lake which brought much joy to them, especially in their retirement. Many family and friends were always welcomed with a sweet smile and a bite to eat.
Ann will be remembered for her quiet smile, thoughtfulness, and gracious hosting. She was tiny and sweet, quick and fleeting like the hummingbirds she loved to feed.
Rest in eternal peace.
The family requests donations to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan in lieu of flowers.
Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with Mrs. Ann Maschak's care and arrangements.
