With broken hearts, we reach out to our extended family and friends to announce that our Alma Lydia Friesen, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away February 4th, 2026, at 89 years of age. She was born in the Hafford area to Peter and Martha Roth on June 20th, 1936.

She married David Douglas Friesen on July 2nd, 1960.

She is survived by her son, Alden (Sue), grandchildren: Jessica (Jordan), Pamela (Randy), David (Anika), great-grandchildren: William, Grayson, Chloe and Sophia. Her son Randy (Nikki), grandchildren: Judy (Lee), Jan (Daniel), Audrey (Devin), and great-grandchildren: Ruth. Her two siblings, Walter and Claudia (Gordon) and her many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Martha, her husband David Douglas Friesen and her sister Edna.

Alma loved her family, her church and her friends. She was a strong woman in both mind and spirit. We will miss her very much, and we are comforted that she is now at Peace.

Alma's Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in the Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, 210 Wess Road, Saskatoon, SK. Interment to take place after her service in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
