Adele Margaret Sigfusson (nee Contenti)

April 28, 1957 — December 7, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Adele Margaret Sigfusson (nee Contenti) on December 7, 2025, at the age of 68, in Saskatoon, SK. Born on April 28, 1957, in Drumheller, Alberta, Adele was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She moved through life with a grace and kindness that touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Adele was the daughter of Adeline and Florio Contenti, and she was preceded in death by her loving parents and her siblings: Johnny Contenti, Inez Bereski, and Mark Contenti. Her family roots were deeply planted in the soil of Drumheller, and she carried their memory and values throughout her life.

In August 1978, Adele married the love of her life, Alan Sigfusson, in a joyful ceremony in Drumheller. Their love story began in 1972 at the young ages of 15 and 17; Alan was friends with Adele's brother Rocky and rest is history. Over the course of 47 wonderful years of marriage, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Together, they raised three beautiful children: Liana (Colton), Erica, and Alex, who were the center of their world.

Adele was not just a devoted mother; she was also a proud grandmother, cherishing her time with Brandon, Jacob, Kael, Dayton, Brooklyn, and Arabella. Her grandchildren delighted in her contagious laughter, and they will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Adele's professional life as an Administrative Assistant showcased her dedication and organizational skills, as she worked for various companies in Calgary, Saskatoon, and Biggar. She approached every task with diligence and kindness, building lasting relationships with her colleagues along the way.

In her free time, Adele enjoyed gardening, exercising, walking, and reading, all of which brought her immense joy. Her passion for gardening was a reflection of her nurturing spirit; she took great delight in watching things grow, whether in her garden or in the lives of her loved ones. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, and she made it a priority to create special memories with each of them.

Adele will be remembered for her exceptional kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. Her laughter was infectious, bringing light and warmth to everyone in her presence. She had an innate ability to make those around her feel special and valued, and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held in her honor on December 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Cherished Memories in Martensville. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Adele Margaret Sigfusson may have departed from this world suddenly, but her legacy of love, compassion, and joy will remain with us forever. She leaves behind a grieving family and countless friends who will miss her dearly. Rest in peace, Adele; we will carry your memory with us always.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with Adele Sigfusson's care and arrangements.
